Nestled within the Daintree Rainforest, our Ecolodge is the perfect accommodation to retreat to after a long day of exploring the Daintree and surrounding regions. The absence of a TV or wi-fi in the treehouses allows guests to connect with nature in ways they haven’t before, creating a magical rainforest encounter. The property boasts ancient Bull Kauri trees and a private waterfall believed to have natural healing powers.
1. Daintree river cruise
A sunset cruise down the Daintree River is the perfect opportunity to test out your photography skills, or spot birds and wildlife creatures in their natural habitat. The tour is guided by ‘Sauce’, a Daintree bird enthusiast that boasts extraordinary knowledge of the region. Along the journey, it is inevitable that you will spot one of the 70 crocodiles that call the Daintree River home, the longest of which reaching approximately 5 metres long.
2. Daintree guided rainforest walk
Explore the roots of the Daintree in a rainforest walk. Learn all about the plants, insects and birds within the rainforest, with some species dating back approximately 135 million years. Guests also have the opportunity to partake in a guided walking tour departing Mossman Gorge to journey through the lush rainforest, or Cape Tribulation to explore the only place in the world where two World Heritage Listed sites sit side by side.
3. River drift snorkelling in the Mossman River
Let the currents guide your journey in a river drift experience down the Mossman River – a relaxing way to experience this beautiful part of the world. Use your snorkel to spot the turtles and 33 freshwater fish species inhabiting the river. Above the water, keep your eyes open for the butterflies and birds flying above.
