A catalogue of the artworks, including the story of the artists, and the original artworks is available. When purchasing original pieces, we can often arrange a meeting with local artists on site. With all purchases from Julaymba Gallery, we can arrange freight and insurance at the purchasers cost.
Julaymba Gallery at Daintree Eco Lodge offers an Interactive Aboriginal Art & Cultural Workshop for guests and Day Visitors.
Create your own Aboriginal inspired masterpiece to take home, using earthy colours or ochre’s from the waterfall and interacting in a natural and relaxed atmosphere. All supplies and tuition included.
Offered in the afternoons by appointment. 2 hour classes.
Each bayan at Daintree Eco Lodge has been named by the Kuku Yalanji elders. Art work reflecting the title of each bayans, is commissioned from local artists to adorn the room, and is available for purchase.
The bayan art is created by Juan Walker or Herbert and/or Pamela Salt. Herbert & Pam are a husband and wife team who can trace family links to this area. Juan is our onsite Aboriginal Activities Co-ordinator and conducts the Guided Walks and Art Classes onsite.
